Coriander is annual herb. All parts of this plant are edible , but the fresh leaves and dried seeds are the parts most traditionally used is cooking.
Choosing a pot
We must take a wide as well as deep pot for growing coriander . As the rooting system of coriander is erect, it requires deeper pots. 15 to 20 cm deep pots will surely serve our requirement.
Soil
We must grow coriander in well drained soil. As coriander is green leafy plant it requires compost rich soil. You can take a mixture of 1 part top red soil + 1 part coco peat + 1 part organic compost.
Preparing seeds
Every seed of coriander is actually a fruit containing two seeds. Take spoonful of seeds in hand and crush them gently in between palms. You can also put them in water overnight and sow them in the morning.
Sow the seeds
Spread the seeds evenly above it. Cover it with thin layer of potting mix
Sunlight
If you are planting in winters then put pot where there is at least 6 hours of sunlight. .In summer days 3 to 4 hours of sunlight also can create a magic.
Water
Always water the plant by using shower or spray. make sure that you take care of leaves as well as roots.
